You read it right ladies and gentlemen, as of today, there are new suits in the old Php Arcade Script office.. except.. the office is in a new place.., and we don't wear suits all that often!

Anyways! We are making some HUGE changes, both to the script and to the infrastructure, and we're well into it already.

Everything is transferred successfully over to our server and nameservers should be updated (let me know if you see the letter "o" if you scroll all the way to the bottom of www.phparcadescript.com).

In the next couple weeks we will be launching a new website, a new forum, a new blog, a new customer area and a new support system including live support. The affiliate system will also be replaced by a brand new system and it'll be a vast improvement over the old one.

All of these are already up and running on our test server and we're working on integrating everything together, so its right around the corner. A little touch up and quite a bit of testing and we'll be set.

As for the script itself, I'm sorry to say that phpAS v5 will be put on the shelf for the time being while we take care of and fix up v4. v4 deserve much more attention than it has already received and its going to get it!

phpAS v4.1 is also right around the corner where core script bugs have been fixed, template errors have been taken care of and some minor functionality have been reworked. This includes (among many others) the RSS feed, image verification issue, jumplist problem and many more. We estimate the release of v4.1 in the next 1-2 weeks as well.

Each bug will have a corresponding hotfix released for it so anyone running an arcade already will be able to go in and take care of exactly those bugs that affect you. This means any customization you have done previously will still be intact.

For those not all that tech savvy and/or without custom modifications, fully fixed files will also be available so all you have to do is replace them.

And to finish this announcement off, we can promise you commitment, improvement and many many new and interesting things in the time to come! We'd also love to see you join us on facebook at our BRAND new page there.

Just curious... And I'm not complaining, but you've promised commitment and improvement with an estimated release of v4.1 in the next 1-2 weeks as well.
It has been a month and a half ago - and you're not giving any notice on the forums. I know that you all are hardworking - but please also be just a little informative about what you're doing - instead of just saying nothing.

I'm looking forward to see your fixes - and give you'll a big thumbs up for continuing PHPAS. Smiley

Hey,

Yes, unfortunately our initial estimation fell way short due to one delay after another, new issues turning up that had to be taken care of and we should have posted some information on this long ago, this is completely my mistake. As we developed the new store and website, the development process revealed some functionality that we didn't account for that had to be done as well. These things combined resulted in the delay.

On a good note though, we're almost ready, and if it doesn't take too long to complete a few last minute changes the website and v4.1 will be up and running on Monday or Tuesday. Whats left are a couple forum settings so that part will be automated and ironing out a small error with the session share that allows the user to move between the blog/forum/customer area without having to log in for each place.

The new support system is finished and have been tested as much as we can before going live with it and we are testing the last part of the checkout system as we're writing this. A new customer area where you will be able to access and look over all your domain licenses, access downloads and a helpdesk with ticket status are also in place and tested.

We are also polishing some visual details and are trying to get as much done pre-launch as possible, but this will continue after the release as well.

I'm positive that the delay will be well worth the wait, and we will work much harder to avoid delays and be more transparent when they do occur in the future.
