Hi,
I'm almost certain that I''m going to buy this script, but was wondering a few things first. Here are my questions.

1. Version 4 sounds pretty big. Will the changes affect template makers out there? I guess what I mean is, Will it be harder to code and create custom templates for version 4?
2. When will version 4 come out? I don't want to get version 3, then have change everything for version 4.
3. The site is going under new ownership soon, how will this affect phpArcadeScript?

Thanks.

Hello FreelanceFlashGames,

I can help answer your questions, although I'm not an admin I have been with PHPAS for over 2 years and I'll be happy to help.

1. Version 4 is pretty exciting. From what I have read the new templating system should be easier than ever. Although I am not told of the specifics Scott has stated that templating will be much easier to do with Version 4.0.

2. Version 4.0 does not currently have an offical ETA. Scott did however state that a beta should be released within a few weeks. I understand what you mean, Im holding off on doing anything major on my website until version 4 is out as well.

3. The ownership I believe has already happened. Now for this I'm not quite sure whats happening either. From what I have seen it seems like Scott is still part owner. So I am thinking that Scott was previously a whole owner of PHPAS but sold off part ownership to someone else who is now handling support, something Scott was not able to effectively provide in the past due to the number of customers he has. PHPAS so far seems to be stable and development of the script has not stopped.

Trigoon is a very loyal PHPAS community member and you can trust everything stated above. Version 4 will indeed have a new templating system which is supposed to be very easy.
Good luck with whatever you deicde
