As far as I know I'm using the default template, someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Bear with me while I'm learning all this stuff LOL

So anyway, the site is up and running, I have a whole bunch of games, a chatscript installed, I just added a blog yesterday and have plans to add more stuff as time goes by, including more games and a forum.

I think I have too many ad spots, but not too sure of how to remove them again.

Anyway, here ya go: http://www.trafficgamers.com

Please be gentle  Kiss LOL

I like your logo, in as much as it integrates your color scheme well.

At least you know how to get all those ads to show up.  I haven't started to figure out that part yet.

I wouldn't want to have that many ads all over unless it was generating income for me, or helping substantially with page ranking.

Good Luck Anna,

Rod

Thanks for that Rod

I paid $20 for a bunch of graphics for the site, which really wasn't too bad seeing as I don't know how to make them myself.

The ads, to me, make it look cheap though, way too many and have removed some of them already LOL, thinking up other ways to monetize the site tho, and one is to offer advertising on that and my other site at a base price.

Any other ideas?

I just added a blog to the site, and am thinking of changing the look of the main arcade to go more with the blog, but OMG there's a lot of templates to change LOL

Anna

p.s. I love the look of yours, a bit dark for me personally, but otherwise it looks great Smiley

Let me know if I can help.  I'm more of a graphic artist than a programmer.  Been doing computer imaging for many years.  Picked up a book on intro to web design this summer and read it.  Learned mostly through trial and error, googling script, studying other peoples codes, etc...

you have done well in modifying the template. However there is no central focus or separation between the content and other design elements. I suggest highlighting a main menu and some featured games to grab that attention of the user as soon as he visits, because at the moment all he says is a lot of cramped content.

Thanks for the tips.

I've been looking into the possibility of buying a whole new template for the site, if I could find one that would fit in with the blog and forum, but I'm not sure I'm techie enough to actually set it up.

Another learning curve I guess [Wink]
