http://arcadebam.com

I spent sometime to rework the way the main games are shown.  Overlay pop-up's of the title and desc with only images and a drop shadow with the images.  Thinking about going this route with the browse games.  Only having images and having the name and desc as a overlay popup.  That way I could show like 100 game images instead of like 20 or so..

I want to rework the left side box's to show the users avatars along with a small amount of information and then do overlay images for the most popular box.

In IE when you mousover one of the images, the alt tag yellow box popup thing (whatever you call it) gets in the way of the description and title popup. You might want to find someway to fix that.

And also might want to get some thumbnails of the items under articles and music videos

Your site sure is dynamic  Smiley.  You seem to be on a winner so I am not going to say much about the design.  Well I will infact!  Blimey you sure have a lotta articles?  Great but they should represented with different images?  Maybe not but it would help I think.  Also you mouse over descriptions are not using the same font as the rest of you site.  Easily fixed.  Come to think of it you are using different fonts for quite a lot of the site.  Couldn't you get it all under one font?  Other than the fonts the site reeks of dynamism which is exactly what is required if you ask me.   Maybe add a meeting place for visitors?  A place to chat or something?

Great site - nice one.

Regards - Mark

Working on a chating thing for it.  http://arcadebam.com/chat/chat.php Wink  Plus, I hope to make the user aspect more of a better experiance with + / -- type of voting for users and something I saw on another site that shows more of the users ratings and stuff.  The whole not one type of font on the site is meant to make it not so boring to read over.  Your right it might be causing it to be confusing and harder to read.  The articles is just a test really.  To see if phpAS can import them.  The reason for the single icon is that it is very time consuming to create icons' for more then 1000 different articles.  The same with the music.  The music I hope to make sub catagories 0-9 A-Z and place then by artist in each of those catagoires -or- should I use the artist as a sub catagory and then place the songs in them?

I did not change the defult design of phpAS v3 to much, like iblob did, but I am working slowly on customizing it to be a good place.  Thanks for the honesty.

Hello Bliss, Did this on NuWeb for a short time, it works well although not great for seo. The descriptions dont realy matter, but the game title needs to appear on the page tbh.
Also those with javascript disabled? what happends then, never tired myself. As long as link is still clickable should be good.

If javascript is disabled then the users have a problem, but so far out of 9832 - 99.41% have javascript enabled.  To much work right now to detect if they have it disabled, the title="" stuff gets in the way of the overlays.

Oh yeah, this ROCK!!  I just did a bunch of work to the favorite game for arcadebam!

http://arcadebam.com/favorites/1/allstar.html

This way users can add more then one game to thier favorites list and share it with other people!! Plus, come back to play thier own personal arcade of favorite games.  It is so freaking sweet.  I don't have many users online that is active, but I am about to put $100 worth of advertising into the arcade and hope to get a few to join that will return.

I made modifications to the Users Admin box to make it look better plus included flash chat.  Then I added a users online menu where it allows you to message another user and view thier favorite games and a overlay to show games plaied today total played and the personal message.  To get the users interested in being more interactive with each other.

Then I made the game details above the games and took out the icons to make it easier to understand the options the users have with the games.  Higher visable to make it more known to the users.

Loving the forum and website link codes, here is the example: (could add a image to it, but shrug)
Deal Or No Deal: Online version of the populat TV game. How much is in your box?

I want to add options to view the all the most played games like the browse menu.  I already added a image overlay to the menu to show the icon when you mouse over the text link.

I like this layout variant a lot. A lot of emphasis on the different sections of the design, making it easy where to go from the main page, it highlights the different categories well and makes the content neat and simple.

Good Job Wink
