hello,

I have a site running and have around 2000 members.  Its not a forum or running on any commerical CMS such as postnuke etc, but we do have a database of users, content etc and run our own custom Php/mysql application.

We would like to extend the site to include a games section, and rather than have static games, we would like to introduce some level of compeition with highscore tables etc.  How easy is it to integrate this arcade script into an existing userbase?  We dont and wont want to setup new users through the script, but would instead like users who are already logged into our system to automatically (if possible) be put into the highscore table for each game.

Has this sort of thing been done with this script before?

Thanks in advance.

Ciaran ...

The highscore system (i.e. highest score on a specific game) is not something currently implemented in phpArcadeScript because it takes actual editing of each game to allow for the high score to be recorded.  Because of this its again the terms of service / copyright of the majority of the games released.  Therefore we do not plan at this time to implement a high score system.

As far as using your existing user database, we do offer custom coding and we could possibly work some sort of conversion out where it will use your existing user database.

Let me know if you would be interested.

I am still very interested.  The highscore thing was something I considered, but its not crucial, it would just be nice to have some games.  Provided we can sort out something with the user accounts I would definitley be willing to try it out, my usertable is very simple and I am sure its possible to write a few lines of code to link into it.

Its hometime here in Ireland so I will call back on Monday to see what we can organise.  Thanks
