Hi there,

I hope everyone is doing well today.  My site has gotten to the point where I can open it up, so here it is:

http://www.theboredboard.com

Besides the typical games & videos, the site has a fairly active forum already, as the domain has been around for awhile as a  community site, with the occasional video/photo & a few games.  I decided to kick it up a notch, and make it a full-blown game/video site.

I integrated the arcade script with a template I found at zymic.  I moved some things around, so the front page wouldn't be so cluttered.  I am currently experimenting with ad placement & type, so I don't expect to make any money off the site yet.

The forum section has some issues in IE, as the design is not playing nice with the layout.  Howeve,r the arcade part seems to look ok in Firefox and IE.

Please let me know what you think, and if I can be of any help to you, just let me know.

Cheers,
brian

Wow, that forum is pretty big!

You should capitalize more on your forum's popularity on your homepage.   Took more a few moments to locate the forum link up there in the tab.  You should add a link to forum from your Main Navigation box for sure!   It might help to post some stats about your forum on the home page too, or do some cool php integration and do the same automatically.

Yea...a very big forum with a lot of posts. What forum are you using to integrate with phpAS?

Hi there,

Well, the forum started off using phpbb, then I ported everything over to Xoops.  I was going to move everything away from Xoops again, but it is so much work moving a database of that size (over 150,000 posts), I decided to leave it as is.

ArcadeJunky, I'm going to add the forum link to the main navigation like you suggested. Thanks for the idea!

Cheers,
brian

It's not integrated.  Just designed the same.  Still have to sign up twice.

MyFlash,

Correct--it is not integrated, although I have been studying how to do it.  The forum is powered by Xoops, and I should be able to mesh the two together (If I ever get time!).
