<p>We have just finished fixing two bugs on the Colorful template: <a href="http://www.phparcadescript.com/colorful.html" target="_blank">http://www.phparcadescript.com/colorful.html</a></p>
<p>They were both related to the category games slider and the dropdown menu and both the menu in the horizontal category list in the header and the one in the category slider had the same unique ID causing a conflict if both was required. The category slider also displayed the same games for all categories above category number 8 which is also taken care of.</p>
<p>If you have colorful installed on your arcade, contact support and we can provide you with the fixed file or a step by step guide to fix the bug.</p>

<p>This one is very late, but I felt it should be posted.</p>
<p>The PreGame AdLoader, a module that will display an advertisement before the game/media itself is displayed is finished and working beautifully!</p>
<p>Its already in use on quite a few websites and apart from a couple mis-pasted lines during installation there have been only 1 reported problem with it. If used in conjunction with the hotlink protection (turned on/off in the admin), the temporary game link will expire and thus the game will not load after the adloader is done. We will have this problem sorted out asap and a bugfix will be released. Except for this we have heard tales of good CTR rates and decent eCPM&#8217;s!</p>

<p>There haven&#8217;t been much word from us the last couple of months, but rest assured that we are still very much here and working on phpAS daily. Support is still our main task and apart from that continued development of phpAS is a very close second.</p>
<p><strong>Next Upgrade</strong></p>
<p>The next version of phpAS, is going to be a minor bug fix upgrade,. This time quite a bit smaller than v4.1, but taking care of some key issues none the less. It shouldn&#8217;t be too long before this version hits the light, but we don&#8217;t have an exact date just now.</p>
<p><strong>Future Development</strong></p>
<p>On the side of this, we have also begun working on v4.5, a huge script upgrade that will redefine the script, make the template system easier, introduce a centralized language system, a faster, more lightweight core structure, improved security and increased flexibility for templates, modules and custom pages &#8211; just to mention a few of the things in our development document. Expect to hear more about v4.5 in the months to come.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are currently developing a new module for phpAS. If turned on, this module will use the adzone system to display an ad for X seconds (lets say 10 seconds), before closing and showing the game.</p>
<p><strong>How it will work:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>First make a new adzone, Make a note of the id of that adzone as we will need that later.</li>
<li>Then go to advertisements and create a new ad (or edit old ads) to display in the new adzone we just created.</li>
<li>Open the PreAd settings and enter the Adzone ID we got in step one. This will tell the module what ads to display</li>
<li>In the same settings, enter how long you wish for the ad to display &#8211; Around 8-15 seconds will probably perform best</li>
<li>Turn the Pread on (or off)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>And you&#8217;re good to go.</strong></p>
<p>We expect this module to be finished by monday, and it will be included for free with phpAS v4.2 when we get to that point.</p>
<p>Until v4.2 is released the module can be bought for $15 and will be compatible with v4.1 and v4.0.</p>
<p>Now some of you might ask why should I pay for it when I can get it for free soon?</p>
<p><strong>Simple answer: You will get it faster.</strong></p>
<p>Long answer: By releasing some modules that will be included for free in future releases of phpAS we can fund further development of Php Arcade Script and in return we will be able to release new versions faster. So you will get new modules faster, and we get something other than bread and water on the dinner table <img src='http://www.phparcadescript.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Not all of our development will be released in this manner, some will be released for free and some will stay hidden in the closet until the next version of the script is released.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Php Arcade Script v4.1 will be the first update to phpAS and we decided it will be mainly a bug fix upgrade.</p>
<p>The upgrade will fix various bugs here and there in the core files as well as in the templates. A couple feature improvements will also be made.</p>
<p>We decided to make this first update a bug fix version so testing time would be reduced as well as development time and we would be able to release it much faster than we would if we were to add in new features.</p>
<p>Patch notes will be released later on.</p>

<p>As of today Php Arcade Script has changed hands and are now owned by Angelo Games. We are looking forward to starting the new year by improving the website structure and a whole new customer system as well as developing a new version of the script.</p>
<p>We will be developing new features for the script and improving on the features that are already in place.</p>
<p>Customer support will once again become a main focus and a new support system will be put in place to help speed up the support process. This includes a new live support system that will be put in place.</p>
<p>We will also be launching a new community forum, this blog and a facebook page to help build a good community around the script again.</p>
